How to cook ham steak in the crock pot
Pour one cup of pineapple juice into bottom of the slow cooker. In a small bowl, mix together brown sugar, balsamic vinegar, honey and mustard.
Using a basting brush, spread the mixture over the top of each ham steak. Layer the ham into the crock pot.

Drain juice off of the can of pineapple chunks and save in a measuring cup for later. Use a fork to place the chunks of pineapple over the top of the ham steaks.
Put the lid on the crock pot and cook on low for 2 1/2 hours or until the ham is tender and the internal temperature reaches 140 degrees F.

Remove ham steaks from the crock pot and place on a platter. Scoop juices from the crock pot and transfer to a saucepan. Bring to a simmer over medium heat.
In a small bowl, whisk together two tablespoons of cornstarch and four tablespoons of the juice reserved from the can of pineapple chunks. Slowly pour this slurry into the simmering saucepan, whisk together.
Stir occasionally as the mixture thickens, this will take 2-5 minutes. Drizzle sauce over the ham steaks or serve on the side.

Can you cook ham in the crock pot?

What if I only have a can of pineapples?
