How to make sausage casserole with egg noodles
Brown the Italian pork sausage in a frying pan. Drain excess grease.
As the meat is cooking, bring pot of water to a boil.

Follow package instructions to cook egg noodles and then drain water.
Add cooked pork sausage into the pot of drained noodles.
Stir in cream of mushroom soup. Slowly fold in milk and gently stir.

Drain liquid off the can of corn prior to adding it to the pot of noodles. Mix corn, parsley and salt and pepper to taste.
Using low heat, bring casserole up to a simmer stirring often.

Keep at medium heat for 10 minutes and continue to stir. Serve hot and straight from the pan.
Top with chopped mushrooms as garnish.

To avoid the danger zone of thawing meat, it is safe to use the refrigerator to allow the meat to maintain a safe, constant temperature of 40 degrees F or below.
If you are in a hurry, use the microwave and select the meat defrost option. Note that the sausage packaging doesn’t have a metal clip at the end of the roll.

Ingredients
- 1 pound Italian sausage
- 6 ounces egg noodles
- 1 (26 oz.) can cream of mushroom soup
- 2 (15oz.) cans corn drained
- Chopped mushrooms optional
- ¼ cup milk
- 2 tablespoons parsley
- Salt & pepper to taste
Instructions
- Brown meat in medium sized frying pan, drain excess grease.
- Bring pot of water to boiling.
- Cook noodles according to package instructions. Drain well.
- Add cooked meat to noodles.
- Stir in cream of mushroom soup and slowly add milk.
- Add in corn, parsley, as well as salt and pepper to taste.
