How to cook bone-in pork chops in air fryer
Preheat air fryer to 400 degrees F. Follow your specific preheating instructions for your model of air fryer.
Measure dry seasonings, brown sugar and parmesan cheese. Stir together in a small bowl creating a dry rub mixture for the next steps.
Rinse bone-in pork chops with cool water and pat dry with paper towels. Discard paper towels.
Next, coat all sides of the pork chops with 1 to 1 1/2 tablespoons of olive oil.
Sprinkle the seasoning over the chops or roll the pork chops into the seasonings to coat them.

Use all the spice mixture to cover the surfaces of the pork chops. Gently rub the seasonings into the chops.
Place pork chops in air fryer, making sure they do not touch.

There is no need to flip the chops throughout the cooking process. The air fryer will circulate cooking evenly on all sides.
Cook for 11-13 minutes or until the bone-in pork chops reach an internal temperature of 145 degrees F.
When testing the temperature place thermometer probe in the meat and not touching bone.

Remove baked chops from the air fryer and allow 3 to 5 minutes of rest time.
How long to cook bone-in pork chops in air fryer
We suggest cooking a 3/4 inch pork chop for 11 to 13 minutes in a preheated air fryer at 400 degrees F.
The thickness of the bone-in pork chops could cause this time to vary. Check to ensure internal meat temperature reached 145 degrees F.
How do you keep pork chops from drying out in the air fryer?
Be mindful of the cooking temperature and time. Overcooking pork chops is what will dry them out.
The olive oil coating will protect the moisture of the pork and at the same time it will adhere the spice rub to the chops.
Why are my pork chops tough in the air fryer?
Pork chops are a lean cut of pork and have a tendency to dry out if overcooked. If your chops are tough and difficult to chew, they are most likely overcooked.
Using a spice rub or breading can help retain the moisture within the pork.
