- Ground ginger
- Garlic salt
- Brown sugar
- Hoisin sauce
Recipe Tips
- Ask for the pork belly to be cut 1/4 inch thick
- Depending on the size of your air fryer, you may need to cook in batches
- Make sure to keep the pork belly in a single layer, don’t stack pieces while cooking.
How to cook pork belly
Step 1: Using kitchen shears, cut the pork belly slices into uniform 1 1/2 inch pieces.

Step 2: In a medium bowl, stir together the ground ginger, garlic salt, brown sugar, and hoisin sauce until well combined. Add the pork belly pieces and toss to coat evenly.

Step 3: Arrange the pork belly in a single layer in the air fryer basket, making sure the pieces are not overlapping. Cook at 385 degrees F for 12-15 minutes, or until caramelized and lightly crispy on the edges.

Step 4: Serve with additional hoisin sauce, sliced green onions, and sesame seeds, if desired.
