How to make pork stroganoff
Begin by trimming the membrane or sliverskin from the pork tenderloin and discarding it. Cut the tenderloin into strips or dice it into one-inch cubes, then set aside.

Melt butter in a large skillet. Add mushrooms, garlic, and onion, and cook over medium heat for 5 to 7 minutes, stirring often until tender.

Add the pork tenderloin pieces to the skillet, stirring to combine. Season the pan with salt and pepper, and cook approximately 10 minutes over medium heat until the pork is lightly browned.

Then, incorporate tomato paste, paprika, and Italian seasoning, mixing thoroughly. Gradually add flour to thicken the sauce.
Pour in chicken broth, apple cider vinegar and lemon juice to the skillet, bring to a simmer, stirring occasionally for 15 minutes.
As the pork sauce is simmering, cook egg noodles according to package instructions.

Remove the stroganoff from the heat and spoon sour cream over the skillet. Swirl the sour cream in until it is mixed throughout. Serve pork stroganoff over warm noodles, garnish with parsley and enjoy.

Why do you use apple cider vinegar and lemon juice in stroganoff?
Although traditional stroganoff recipes often include a dash of white wine vinegar or Dijon mustard, this recipe uses lemon juice and apple cider vinegar to add a tangy note to the sauce. These ingredients boost the sauce’s acidity, enhancing its flavor.
What’s the best cut of pork for stroganoff?
